The Vatican says it estimates a quarter of a million people have been attending today’s funeral.
That includes those crammed into St Peter’s Square as well as mourners listening from neighbouring side streets.
The Pope’s now making his final Popemobile journey – from the Vatican through the streets of Rome – to the church where’s he’s been asked to be buried in a simple tomb, inscribed with only his name.
