Tipp students receiving food packages due to lack of funding.

The ongoing problems with the student maintenance grant scheme is causing major hardship

for many students on the Tipperary campuses at LIT.

The new system – SUSI – was set up by the Government last year to administer a centralised

grant scheme.

However thousands of students across the country who applied last August are still waiting

for their money.

are facing tough times, with many now in receipt of food packages.
