Tipp records the largest increase in land prices in the country.

Tipperary has seen the largest increase in Land prices in the
country.

The average price for agricultural land in 2012 was just
over 12 thousand euro per acre, compared with eight and a half
thousand per acre in 2011.

That represents a massive 40% increase in 12 months.

In terms of most land being offered for sale, Tipperary sits third,
with almost 5 thousand acres, with Cork leading the way, with almost
seven thousand and Galway second.

The largest sale of land in Tipperary last year, was for a 40 acre parcel
of limestone land near Cashel, which sold for 610 thousand euro.
