Tipp lose out as Irish Water announce location of regional offices.

Tipperary has lost out as the locations of Irish Waters regional
offices have been announced.

The State body – which has been tasked with collecting water charges
– will have eight offices in Dublin, Mullingar, Castlebar, Cavan Town,
Donegal Town, Kilkenny City, Limerick City and Mallow.

Between 18 to 32 employees will be based in each of these offices
drawn from the local authorities, the Department of the Environment,
Bord Gáis and open recruitment.

Water charges will come into effect in January 2015.
