Tipperary dog owners are being encouraged to do their bit for
the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind this month.

The organisation hopes to raise €50,000 for those who are visually
impaired and families of children with autism through a series
of dog walks.

The North Tipperary walk is taking place in Thurles on Sunday
meeting at the Anner Hotel at 10.30am while the South Tipperary
event will be held in the village of Ballylooby on Sunday week
starting at 3pm.

At present there are 6 Guide Dog Owners in Tipperary and
3 Assistance dogs with families of children with autism.
