Tipp Garda hospitalised following dog attack

A Tipperary Garda continues to be treated in hospital after
he was attacked by a pack of dogs.

Garda Donal Foley, a former County footballer, was calling to
a house in Ballymacarbery on Monday night, when he was attacked
by up to five pitbull terriers.

The 50 year old suffered serious injuries to his hands, legs and lower body.

He was taken to South Tipp General Hospital, where he underwent
surgery for some of his injuries.

Gardai continue to investigate the incident.
