Tipp cars will have a new reg from January.

Forget the TNs and TSs, Tipperary will have a brand new vehicle registration plate
from next January.

Deputy Noel Coonan has been told by the Revenue Commissioners that regulations
are being drafted to reflect the changes in local authorities in Tipperary, Limerick and Waterford.

Up to now those 3 counties had 6 separate registration plates ( TS, TN, W, WD, L and LK)

The new registration will be “T” for the entire county, while Limerick will be “L”
and Waterford will be “W”
