This implementation report will be sent to the Environment Minister Phil Hogan next week.
Cllr. Siobhan Ambrose said at today's meeting in Golden that they are still being kept
in the dark about key aspects of this plan
“I think it's a worrying time again for people of South Tipperary because we haven't seen what amendments have been made.”
“I would obviously again have to express me concern that further amendments have been made to this document which we're not privy to which in turn we can't say if it's going to have a bigger impact after June 2014”.
Meanwhile, Independent Cllr. Tom Wood says the current plan will be to the detriment of
Tipperary people rather than to their benefit, if it goes ahead:
“Ideally now I would like to see that we just put this on hold and give people more time and when it's more appropriate that the matter can be properly discussed.”
“I mean the public representatives have had little input good, bad nor indifferent.”
” I think it's just a rushed job and at the end of the day anything that's rushed wont be a success”.
