A row has broken out over the location of the church bell which
has recently been removed from Kickham barracks.

Deputy Seamus Healy has raised the matter in the Dail, and
asked that it be immediately returned to the barracks as
he believed it was a protected structure.

In reply, the Defence Minister Alan Shatter admitted that the
entire barrack site is a protected structure and said that the bell,
which had been relocated to Limerick, would now be returned.
