President opens Nenagh Castle project

His visit marked the completion of Phase One of the Nenagh castle project.

Its hoped the castle will be opened fully to visitors, once
all work is completed by the end of the summer.

Commenting on the work which has taken place thus far, President Higgins said
that its hard to believe how far the project has come since his last visit in 1997.

Meanwhile, Cathaoirleach of North Tipp County Council Micheal Lowry
said that once completed, the castle will be yet another attraction for tourists
in the region
