There's no final decision yet on axing a Bus Eireann service from
Carrick on Suir to Dublin.

That's according to a letter from the C.E.O. of the semi-state company
to a local T.D.

Martin Nolan told Mattie Mc Grath that the company is reviewing its
entire Expressway network and the ongoing review of Route 7 includes
the Carrick-Dublin link.

The C.E.O. warned that these services are purely commercial and
receive no state funding.

He adds that the company must meet any demand for limited-stop services
with quicker journey times to ensure the route's viability.
