Nenagh and Thurles will be among the first to benefit from Fibre Optic

Better internet coverage is on the way for Nenagh and Thurles
following the announcement of significant funding.

Minister of State Alan Kelly has announced that Eircom are about
to complete the deal, which will mean that Nenagh and Thurles
will be among the first in the Country to benefit
from the roll out of Fibre Optic broadband.

The Portroe Minister says that the infratsructure will be in place
by the 28th of this month.

Over the next 18 months, it will rolled out in 9 other Tipp towns,
Roscrea, Clonmel, Tipp town, Cahir, Templemore, Ballina,
Newport, Cashel and Carrick on Suir.
