A 32-year-old man has been jailed for 6 years for killing a Lithuanian
father-of-one in his Tipperary home after arriving uninvited at the
victim' s Christmas celebrations.

Egidijus Kiaulakis stabbed Gintaras Brazauskas  seven times in the
early hours of St Stephen' s Day 2008.

Kiaulakis admitted stabbing him in Summerhill, Nenagh, but denied a charge of murder,

saying he acted in self-defence.

He also assaulted the victim's lifelong friend during the row that broke out.

He was cleared of murder but convicted of manslaughter by a jury at the
Central Criminal Court in March last.
