Man injured in Cappawhite assault.

A man is recovering in hospital following a vicious assault in Cappawhite
last night.

A fight broke out between a group of men  in
Cappawhite, with weapons like a sword or machete being used.

A man in his 50's was injured in the incident.
He was taken to hospital in Cork, where he is in a serious but
stable condition.

2 men were arrested at the scene and are being held for questioning
and the scene of the assault has also been sealed off for investigation.

Gardai in Tipp Town are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
