Man in stable condition following assault in Thurles.

A man is in a stable condition in hospital following an assault in Thurles yesterday.

The man who is in his 30's, was attacked by a group of 5 men,
in the Gortataggart housing estate on the Templemore Road at around 1.30pm.

The victim was rushed to the Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick,
where he underwent surgery.

Gardai in Thurles would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the
assault or noticed any suspicious activity in the Gortataggart
or Templemore road area between 1.15 to 1.45 yesterday afternoon –
they can be contacted on 0504 25100.
