One man has appeared in court today while 2 others are being questioned,
after they hit a Garda patrol car while fleeing from a burglary
in New Inn yesterday.

The men were apprehended at racecourse course at Shanballa
near New Inn, yesterday afternoon, after Gardai received a call
about suspicious activity in the area.

The men were apprehended after they hit the patrol car while trying
to escape.

One was brought to Tipp Town station while the other 2 were brought to
Cahir.

One of them has appeared in court today, charged with burglary, trespass
and assault on a member of the public.

Gardai believe the men may be responsible for a spate of burglaries
in the area over recent weeks and are urging anyone with information to
contact them in Cahir.
