The securing of a contract with McDonald's Ireland by a Tipperary producer should be a major boost to the county.

Thurles based Dew Valley Foods will supply bacon to all 84 of McDonald's restaurants in Ireland with bacon sourced from this country.

The multi-million Euro deal leaves potential to supply McDonald's markets in Europe in the future.

Local representative Micheál Lowry says Dew Valley Foods have worked hard for their success.
