Hurling championship moves up a gear

 Clare take on Limerick with the victors set to face Tipperary in Limerick on June 21st. Both Clare and Limerick have pinpointed this game as being vital to win. The throw in time is 4pm

In the Leinster senior hurling qualifying group round 3 Carlow take on Antrim at Dr Cullen Park while Laois take on Westmeath at O Moore Park both throw in at 2.

In the Christy Ring cup yesterday Kildare beat  Meath 3-23 to 2-18 in their quarter final, and three Tipperary players featured for Kildare Dinny Stapleton from Sean Treacys, Willie Greene from Moneygall and David Young from Toomevara all playing a role for the Lilywhites. 

In the other game Down overcame London 1-22 to 1-13. Both teams progress to the semi finals now.
