Hospital of the Assumption will be brought back to full capacity.

The Health Minister has announced that he intends to bring
the Hospital of the Assumption in Thurles back to full capacity.

He made the announcement during a visit to the region today.

In a meeting with the Hospital Action committee, HSE officials
and local Dail Deputy Noel Coonan, Minister James Reilly confirmed
that 11 new staff will be appointed by September, which will lead
to the opening of 10 more beds.

Councillor Jim Ryan, who is a member of the Action Committee,
said they were very happy with todays meeting which they described as very positive.
