High Court proceedings in relation to St Michaels end for today

Proceedings have come to a close again in the High Court today,
in the case being taken to stop the closure of St Michaels
psychiatric unit in Clonmel.

Proceedings are expected to finish up in the case tomorrow,
with a decision not due until next friday.

The HIgh Court today heard evidence from former Councillor
Tom Ambrose, who was one of the signatories of the 1996
agreement with the Department, which promised that no
services would be taken from Clonmel.
