GPA proposes changes to pre-season tournaments

The changing of the Under 21 grade to Under 20 and the withdrawal of Third Level colleges from pre season competitions are just two proposals in a Gaelic Players Association report released today.

The report entitled “Never Enough Time” has found 50 % of those surveyed in third level feel overwhelmed by their commitments.

40% revealed they would like more time for their sport, just over half say they'd like more time to have a part time job, 56% more time to devote to their studies and 61% more time for family and friends.

55% of those surveyed have reported they are experiencing financial difficulties.
