Galway joins South Tipp in banning the use of hose pipes

Galway has now joined South Tipperary in banning the use of
hosepipes in an attempt to conserve water supplies.

Residents in both regions have been told they are not allowed to
use the pipes, as temperatures are set to head back towards
30 degrees again this weekend.

Other councils are also urging the public to conserve water and not use
it to maintain their lawns.
