Former Tipp hotelier over seeing arrangements for G8 summit.

A former owner-manager of a Tipperary hotel will be responsible for the
accommodation needs of the G8 Summit leaders when they hold their
annual meeting in Fermanagh next month.

Ferghal Purcell has been managing the 5-star Lough Erne Resort since leaving
Aherlow House Hotel in 2011.

He has just won Hotelier of the Year at the Northern Ireland Tourism Awards.

In the run-up to the summit, Ferghal  told Tipp FM  that the island resort hotel
is being subjected to rigorous security checks:
