Financial waste of Decentralisation plans laid bare

The Government has spent over 43 million euro on plans
for decentralisation, which have now been scrapped.

The Government now sits on a massive land bank, which
had been acquired as part of decentralisation plans,
including a 6 acre site in Thurles, which cost just over 967 thousand euro.

The figures which have just been revealed, and described
as an embarrassment to the Government, and an example
of how not to spend public money.
