Conditions at South Tipp General highlighted at County Council meeting.

The plight of both patients and staff at South Tipperary General Hospital
was highlighted at todays meeting of the County Council.

Independent Councillor Darren Ryan asked that the authority write to the
CEO of the Health Service Executive calling on him to prioritise funding
for the A&E Department at the Clonmel hospital.

He says the situation at South Tipp General is critical and has praised
the efforts of the staff.

Councillor Ryan says the scenes he has witnessed recently while in
the A&E Department are horrific.
