A Nenagh Councillor has expressed concern about the safety
of a popular swimming hole in the town.
Councillor Hughie McGrath, says that the warm weather has attracted
swimmers to the river beside the bridge at the Chilled meats factory
at Johns Well.

He says the river is potentially dangerous due to a serious under
current.
He has called on parents to keep an eye on children heading
to rivers in the coming days and has also appealed to the County
Council to erect signage, warning of the under current.
