Tipperary community groups are struggling to get insurance.
That's according to North Tipperary Fianna Fail councillor Michael Smith.
Irish Public Bodies do not provide cover to community groups who work in council properties and they are also not included under the
councils own insurance policy.
Councillor Smith said the future of community groups in Tipperary will be hindered unless the council can provide insurance.
” There has to be something within their guidelines that can assist these groups.”
“Unless we can have a bit of joined up thinking to allow these community groups to develop it's going to hinder development into the future.”
