Child Benefit will be hit in Decembers budget.

The Social Protection Minister has given her clearest indication yet that
child benefit will be hit in the budget.

Joan Burton's told the Dáil that weekly payments such as jobseekers
allowance and pensions should be protected – but she can only confirm
that in the budget.

But child benefit is a monthly payment and therefore would not fall under this.

And Minister Burton's also admitted she's looking at a two-tier system that
would give higher child benefit to those on social welfare:
