Calls to immediately appoint a Crime Prevention Officer to Tipperary.

A South Tipp Councillor says a Crime Prevention Officer needs to
be appointed in Tipperary as a matter of urgency.

Clonmel Councillor Joe Leahy says the position remains unfilled since the
summer of 2011.

He says that given that the Tipperary Garda division is so vast,
a delay of 18 months in the appointment is unacceptable.

He has called on the Justice Minister and the Garda Commissioner
to fill the post immediately and says that how it is currently being covered,
is not right…
