South Tipp Independant Deputy Mattie McGrath has called for the
immediate relocation of Clonmel Garda station, to the vacant
Kickham barracks.

In the Dail this evening, Mattie McGrath has described as appaling,
the current condition of the Garda station and says it is not fit
for purpose at present.

He says an immeidate relocation to the Kickham barracks would
have virtually no cost to the state while would also give enough space
for the Reserve defence force.

He also said it would be the  perfect resolution for the Department as it
would ensure that their vacant premises would be put to a good use and
kept secure while enabling a much needed relocation of Clonmel Garda Station
