Building slowdown ending in Tipp

408 new  buildings were recorded in Tipperary for the first six months of 2012,
according to new figures released today by GeoDirectory. 

These were composed of 345 residential and 43 commercial buildings
while 20 more were dual-purpose buildings.

The figures represent a year-on-year increase of 52% compared to the same period in 2011.

This increase in Tipperary is in contrast to the 23% fall recorded nationally. 

GeoDirectory was jointly established by An Post and Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi)
to create and manage Ireland’s only complete database
of commercial and residential buildings.
