Another relic stolen from midland church

It was stolen from the Church of the Holy Cross in Killeshin, Co. Laois yesterday.
The relic, which was enclosed in a pewter case was presented to the Church
when it was built in 1822.

While it has no monetary value, it is of huge spiritual significance to the Church.
The estimated time of the break-in is put between 10 A.M. and 5.30 P.M. yesterday.

Any information on suspicious activity to  the Gardai at Abbeyleix on 057 8730580.

Another relic of the True Cross was stolen from Holycross in Co. Tipperary last year
but was recovered by Gardai some months later.

Since then, increased security measures have been put in place
