A number of Tipperary towns and villages honoured in Tidy Towns Competition.

Emly has maintained its Tidy Town status as part of this years
Tidy Towns award winners.

They were crowned Regional winners for the South East and the
best in South Tipp.

Birdhill was crowned the best in North Tipp, receiving a Gold medal.

Terryglass got a silver medal, while Kilshealan and Ballina
were awarded a bronze medal.

Abbeyshrule in Co Longford has been crowned the Tidiest Town
for 2012.

And it was a double win for Abbeyshrule – they also claimed the prize
for Tidiest Village.

Clonakilty in Co Cork was awarded the Tidiest Small Town, Westport in
Co Mayo received the Tidiest Large Town award, whilst Ennis in Co Clare
was named Tidiest Large Urban Centre.
