It's forty years today since the 1972 Dublin bombings, the first car bomb
attacks to happen in the Republic during the Northern Irish conflict.

CIE workers George Bradshaw from Fethard, aswell as Tommy Duffy and
Tommy Douglas were all killed within weeks of each other when
three bombs went off at Sackville Place and Liberty Hall in Dublin city.

It's believed the attacks were motivated by controversial Dail legislation
being debated at the time, which gave new powers to the Gardai in fighting the IRA.

Margaret Urwin of Justice for the Forgotten says all three men were
innocent bystanders.
