He posted a round of 71 yesterday to finish his second round on 5 under par, alongside Francesco Molinari and American duo John Peterson and Billy Hurley.

Graeme McDowell is also well in contention on 2 under par, but Shane Lowry faces a battle to make the cut.
He was on 1 over par with three holes left to play before heavy winds resulted in play being postponed late last night.
The projected cut currently stands on 1 over, and play has just resumed on the course.
