After 13 years in charge, Walsh resigned from his role as the head of High Performance Unit yesterday and is now set to take-up a position with USA Boxing later this week.
The IABA say that they did their utmost to retain Walsh and are disappointed with his decision to quit.

But the Wexford native admits that he felt as though the IABA no longer wanted him and it was better to leave on his own terms.
