Wales and England set to enter tournament fray

Wales make their first appearance in a major tournament for 48 years against Slovakia in Bordeaux at 5pm.

The Welsh haven't won in four matches, which includes a 3-0 loss to Sweden last time out.

Then at 8, England meet Russia in Marseille.

Roy Hodgsn's men begin the tournament as the only team to have won all of their qualifying fixtures.

They also claimed victories over Turkey, Australia and Portugal in their warm-up games.

First up today in Group A – where hosts France beat Romania 2-1 in the tournament's opening match last night – Albania face Switzerland in Lens at 2pm.
