Tribesmen and Cats ready for a battle

Just like three years ago, a Kilkenny side looking to retain the Liam McCarthy Cup will be their opponents. 

The Cats have already beaten Galway in this year's Championship, with a seven-point win in the Leinster final.

Tribesman manager Anthony Cunningham knows his defenders can't allow Kilkenny space to create scores today.

In the Kilmacud Crokes 7s yesterday evening Borrisoleigh won the competition for a record 6th time. They beat Loughmore Castleiney in the final. 

The shread of consolation for Loughmore was that Noel McGrath was voted player of the tournament

 

In the South Tipp Junior championship last evening St. Patricks overcame Killenaule 0-16 to 1-10 while Ballylooby Castlegrace defeated Carrick Swans on a 1-19 to 2-12 scoreline.
