Tipp’s Kervick misses out on a place in the final

Kervick was one of the stand-out performers from the Irish squad during this morning's session when he won his heat in style, but he narrowly missed-out on qualification this afternoon.

With only the top-two from each semi-final progressing, Kervick finished in fourth place in a time of 46.96 seconds.

Earlier this morning, Mark English won his heat in the 800 metres to advance to tomorrow's semi-finals, where he'll be joined by Declan Murray.

Ciara Everard is also through to the 400 metres semi-finals as a fastest qualifier, but 60 metre hurdler, Ger O'Donnell is out.
