Controversy once again surrounds Tipperary showjumper Denis Lynch.

His selection for London 2012 is in doubt after one of his horses was disqualified from competing at the Aachen Show in Germany following veterinary examination yesterday.

As a result Horse Sport Ireland has asked the Olympic Council of Ireland to hold off on ratifying Denis Lynch for the Games.

Lantinus, which tested positive for a banned substance during the Beijing Olympics in 2008, has now tested positive for hypersensitivity according to a press statement issued by the Aachen show organisers.

Denis Lynch decided not to appeal the disqualification.
