Tipperary's Peter Ryan gets his Para-Cycling Track World Championship campaign underway today.
The Drombane man and tandem partner Damien Shaw from Mullingar compete in the 1 kilometre time trial in the Netherlands.

Peter suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Leber hereditary optic neuropathy which has left him blind and ended a promising hurling and football career.
Peter and Damien are due on the track in Appeldoorn shortly after 5 this evening for the kilo and will compete in the 4 kilometre pursuit on Saturday morning.
