Tipperary are in a group with Kilkenny, Cork, Galway and Waterford, with the Premier being managed by last year’s All-Ireland junior winning manager Bill Mullaney.

First up for Tipp is an away trip to Kenny Park in Athenry to play Galway, with throw-in set for 2pm.

Speaking on last night’s Across The Line, Tipp manager Bill Mullaney knows the challenge that lies ahead:

“We’re around long enough to know that any Galway team is going to be very good, very fit, very strong, an absolute mountain of a challenge for us and the added trick of going to Athenry and trying to get a win up there is added pressure.

“We have prepared well, we’re training well and we’ve played a couple of challenge matches and we’ve performed really well in those too so I don’t think there will be much between us.”
