Tipperary Cyclist takes final stage of UAE Tour

Carrick on Suir’s Sam Bennett has beaten a host of the world’s top sprinters to take the final stage of the UAE Tour.

The Bora Hansgrohe rider produced an amazing turn of speed in the closing metres to win the 145 kilometre stage in Dubai.

This is Bennett’s second win of 2019 as he also took the final stage of the Tour of Argentina.

Ireland’s Dan Martin finished 7th overall.
