Tipperary’s U20 hurlers have claimed the All-Ireland title after a hard-fought victory over Kilkenny in the decider at UPMC Nowlan Park this afternoon.
Brendan Cummins’ side, who were aiming for their first title since 2019, delivered a strong performance to lead out over an unbeaten Kilkenny team.
After a close and well matched playtime, with both sides playing as strong a game as they could, Tipp’s early lead continued throughout.
Kilkenny, coming off last year’s minor final defeat to Tipp, were well-motivated, but the Premier County held firm under pressure to secure the win.
The match finished on a full time score of 3-19 to 1-16 points
