Tipp advanced to the last four as a result of beating Dublin 2-12 to 1-6 in a Group 1 clash at The Ragg and Clare falling to a fifteen point defeat against Galway.

They'll play Kilkenny but defending champions Galway, who topped Group 1, will have to wait to find out who they'll playing as Cork and Limerick have to meet in a play-off to determine the second county to emerge from Group 2.

There wasn't much between the sides at The Ragg in the first half with Tipp leading 1-5 to 0-5 at the break – the home side's goal was scored by Jenny Grace.

Although Orla Beagan found the net for the Dubs in the 42nd minute that score didn't prove decisive with midfielder Mairead Teehan proving particulary influential in driving Brian Boyle's side to victory.

Any doubt about the outcome was ended when substitute Róisín Howard got Tipp's second goal five minutes from time.
