Eamon O'Shea's side created plenty of chances but lacked the killer instinct to take the game to Ger Cunningham's Dublin side.

Tipp will now host Galway next weekend in Round 2.
Galway were up against Clare in today's other Division 1A match-up in what was a nip and tuck affair at Pearse Stadium.
The Tribesmen ran out one point winners against Davy Fitzgerald's team.
