Limerick beat the Premier County 2-11 to 0-15 in the provincial semi-final at Semple Stadium.

Although William Maher's side were always within touching distance of their opponents they never managed to edge in front.

Their chances of victory were hit by goals in either half by the Treaty County's David Dempsey and Pa Ryan.

Pat Ryan got Tipp's goal and also registered two points.

Aidan McCormack also contributed handsomely to the losing side's tally with 0-5.

Limerick will play Clare in the Munster final on July 6th.
