Tipperary have earned a hugely impressive victory away to Galway in today's Allianz Hurling League clash.
Tipp made the perfect start after just 2 minutes when Brendan Maher's sideline cut went all the way into the back of the net, while Shane Bourke finished a brilliant move to give the Premier a second goal after 17 minutes.
Tipp led by 10 points after 20 minutes but Joe Canning reduced that deficit with a goal a few minutes later, to leave the half-time score Tipperary 2-13 Galway 1-9.
The start of the second half was dominated by Galway and a run of points reduced the deficit to just three points, but a John O'Dwyer goal on the 52nd minute gave the Premier a six point lead.
Eamon O'Shea's side remained comfortably in the lead for the remainder of the game, and Lar Corbett sealed the win with a Tipp's 4th goal in injury time after an excellent solo run.
The full-time score in Salthill: Tipperary 4-22 Galway 1-20.
