The Tipperary senior hurlers take on Cork in the Munster senior hurling championship today.
Liam Cahill’s men travel to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh for their second round game at 4pm.
The sides met in the National Hurling League final in the same venue three weeks ago, where the Rebels won by 10 points.
Speaking on Friday evening’s Across The Line, Nenagh Guardian Head of Sport Shane Brophy says it’s a different game today:
“I think this is a different game, it’s going to start nil-nil.
“I always use the Brian Cody mantra ‘every game takes on a life of it’s own’, just because what happened three weeks ago, it mightn’t happen again, the conditions could be different, Cork have a different type of a half-forward line, it’s more physical rather than mobile and I still think that plays into Tipp’s hands a small bit.
“I’d be optimistic that we can get a positive result out of the weekend, Cork are still hot favourites but I think that underdog tag will sit well with us at the weekend.”
