Having put in a strong performance in their opening National Football League Division 4 game last weekend Tipp play host to Longford this afternoon.
The Premier came from 8 points down at one stage to draw with Carlow.
With a number of new faces in the panel manager Philly Ryan will be hoping they can continue to progress.
However secretary of the Tipperary Football Board Alan Moloney says the new rules introduced for this season will lead to some frustrations for a while.
“If you don’t have the fourth official or the linesman doing their job it can cause a bit of faction on the line. Two minutes into the game they (Carlow) had a breach of the three man up rule but the fourth official was actually giving the team sheet to Carlow and he missed it. So if you’re not tuned in – like I suppose normally that’s the fourth officials job – but there’s a much bigger job there now and that’s looking at the three up. But they’re going to be roared at a lot from the line.”
Throw-in is at 2.30 in the Clonmel Sportsfield grounds of Clonmel – Commercials and St Mary’s
The game will be live here on Tipp FM with thanks to Mother Hubbard’s family restaurant in Cashel
